Economic evaluation of the service of the area is a process in which the importance of an area for the society is assessed in a systematic manner and eligibility of introducing changes is determined.

The advantages of such an approach to evaluation:

• Integrated approach, linking the issue of the wider area leading to better and more sustainable solutions,
• Participatory approach, which enables stronger collaboration between stakeholders with the aim of creating common strategies, which reduces the resistance to the proposed measures,
• Transparent bottom-up approach, which enables stakeholders participation and involvement in the decision-making process itself,
• Evaluation of all the benefits that nature provides (direct and indirect benefits).

 Our intention:

• Achieve the optimal balance between economic, socio-cultural and environmental components of the area,
• Achievement of economically more equitable distribution of costs and benefits relating to the use of natural resources,
• Assessing the impact of changes on the environment and facilitate the introduction of changes,
• Prepare a set of different relevant proposals to improve the current situation,
• Increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy environment,
• Increasing opportunities for additional funding (greater success in tenders, greater interest by private individuals, tourists, public and state institutions).
